About Us
Harley Owners Group was created by Harley-Davidson in 1983 to promote family-oriented activities for Harley-Davidson owners. It is the largest motor vehicle factory-run club in the world, with a membership of over 8,000 in Australia.
The NSW Central Coast Chapter was formed in 2013 and is based at Central Coast Harley-Davidson in West Gosford.
Every month our chapter has at least two organised rides and a chapter meeting. We also have overnight runs every few months and each year you may attend the NSW State Rally and the National Rally, which is held in various locations around Australia. We print a bi-monthly newsletter with informative articles, safety info, ride calendar, even items for sale.
Before you can join the Central Coast Chapter of the Harley Owners Group you need to be a member of H.O.G. You can get all of the information about H.O.G. here. In a nutshell, membership of H.O.G. gets you lots of excellent stuff (magazines, patches, pins, etc) and membership of the Central Coast Chapter gets you lots of fun things to do (rides, events, rallies, etc), and a whole new family to become a part of.
Our rides so far have averaged 30 bikes, are organised with Road Captains front and rear, and a tail-end-Charlie to ensure we arrive at our destinations all together. Speeds are kept to the legal limits, and members are expected to follow our “Run Rules” regarding riding behaviour.
The cost of joining our chapter as a member is $35 per year. Annual fees are due and payable by April 1 of each year. If you have purchased a new bike recently then you will have received our first year of H.O.G. membership automatically. There are no membership requirements apart from owning a Harley Davidson, and no obligation to attend any events.
You are more than welcome to attend a few rides with us before deciding to take out Central Coast Chapter membership.
